JM20 Pyroelectric Sensor for Photometry

Overview
JM20
Pyro-electric sensors measure pulses up to 2 ms

Applications:
Conversion of a pulse of light into a voltage pulse
JM20
FeaturesOur pyro-electric sensors convert a pulse of light into a voltage pulse whose maximum amplitude is directly proportional to the incident energy. They are coated with a black absorber which has an almost constant absorption over a wide wave length range. They reliably measure any pulse up to 2 ms in length with an accuracy of 5%.

Due to their high sensitivity they can be used without additional amplifiers. They should be directly connected to a storage oscilloscope with 1 MOhm or 100 kOhm input impedance. All sensors will be delivered with a calibration factor and a response curve. E.g. reading 3.5 V peak voltage and using a JM10 with a sensitivity of 500 V/J the energy of the incident pulse is 3.5 V/500V/J = 7 mJ.

The models JM10 and JM20 cover almost all applications. Please contact us if you require sensors with other demands. In the figure at the top a JM20 is displayed together with its response curve.
