Spot Illumination for Microscopy Applications
Overview
Fixed Spot Illumination
Applications:
fluorescence excitation of the entire or partial field of view and simultaneous illumination of a small spot from a different light source for e.g. flash photolysis of caged compounds.
Features
- spot size down to a few micrometers
- spot position adjustable within field of view
- use with lasers, LEDs and flash lamps, depending on required spot size
- no modification of microscope
- uses microscope optics
- available for many microscopes, e.g.:
- Nikon TE2000, TE200/300, E600
- Olympus IX 71/81, BX series
- Zeiss Axio Examiner, Axio Imager, Axioskop 2, Axio Observer, Axiovert 200
